Our Story
At Balance Soma, we believe everyone is searching for one thing: balance.
Balance in the body.
Balance in the mind.
Balance in the way we live and connect with ourselves.
Our vision was created through years of teaching, guiding, and supporting students on their personal journeys of healing and transformation.
We realized that true yoga is not only about physical postures. It is about awareness, discipline, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and inner connection.
That understanding became the foundation of Balance Soma.
Today, we offer Yoga Teacher Trainings, retreats, yoga therapy, meditation, and Ayurveda experiences designed to help individuals grow both personally and spiritually.
Our Mission
Balance Soma’s mission is to nurture not only students, but future teachers who embody the values they share. It is a space where love, kindness, compassion, discipline, and authentic living are not just taught—they are practiced daily.
Balance Soma believes great teachers are not made by knowledge alone, but by the way they live, lead, and inspire. Through conscious education, embodied practice, and heart-led discipline, Balance Soma aims to create teachers who go on to transform lives, not just through instruction, but through presence, integrity, and example.
Vision
To create a space where personal transformation becomes collective transformation.
Balanced Soma envisions a community of conscious, empowered, and compassionate individuals who embody health, awareness, and purposeful living. We believe that true healing extends beyond the self and naturally inspires service, connection, and positive change in the world.
By integrating Holistic approaches of yoga, Ayurveda, psychology, movement, and conscious living, we aim to nurture people who not only transform their own lives but also contribute meaningfully to the well-being of others. What we cultivate within—awareness, wisdom, resilience, and compassion—we offer back to society through our actions, relationships, work, and service.
As part of this vision, Balanced Soma aspires to create initiatives that support underserved communities, improve access to education for children who cannot afford it, and provide opportunities for health, well-being, and human development for those with limited resources. We envision a future where wellness, education, and conscious living are not privileges available to a few, but opportunities accessible to all.

Khushboo Golchha aka Khush
Khush was born in Calcutta into a loving Jain family, where strong values, creativity, and compassion shaped her early life. After her family faced financial struggles, life changed, teaching her resilience from a young age.
Her journey was far from easy. She experienced a life-changing near-death experience in 2013 that left her hospitalized for months. This became one of the biggest turning points of her life, pushing her to search deeply for healing, meaning, and purpose.
During her recovery in the hospital, Khush developed a deep interest in the wisdom of the Ramayana, which became a source of strength and spiritual perspective. After leaving the hospital, she explored many holistic healing practices in her search for recovery and self-discovery, a journey that eventually led her to the Art of Living Ashram in Bangalore. Under the grace of Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, her connection to spirituality deepened profoundly.
It was here that yoga became more than a practice—it became her path to transformation.
Through karma yoga, meditation, and spiritual teachings, Khush rebuilt herself physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Yoga gave her strength, inner peace, self-worth, and a new direction.
What began as personal healing soon became her life’s mission.
In 2016, she completed her first yoga teacher training, and since then, she has never stopped. Khush continued studying and teaching simultaneously, dedicating herself fully to the path of growth, knowledge, and service. Today, she is an E-RYT 500 certified teacher with multiple specialized yoga certifications, a diploma in Ayurveda and Panchakarma, and a Master’s degree in Yoga Therapy.
Her journey has taken her from student to teacher, healer, and guide—sharing her knowledge across the Himalayas, Goa, Thailand, Nepal, Bali, and beyond.
Today, her purpose is to help others transform pain into power, wounds into wisdom, and healing into conscious living. She believes yoga is more than movement—it is a journey of awakening, healing, and coming home to yourself.
In her classes she creates a space that is focused, empowering, supportive and fun where students feel both challenged and deeply seen.
Yogas did not just change her life, it transformed it. And now, her mission is to help others heal, rise, and discover their own stregoth
Raised in Himachal Pradesh — the sacred Land of Mahadev — Sonaal’s path has always been deeply rooted in spirituality, discipline, and self-mastery. From an early age, his connection to yoga began through physical sports, breathwork, and Sanskrit, guided by his father’s Air Force discipline and wisdom. His childhood travels across India exposed him to diverse philosophies, cultures, and traditions, shaping his broad and insightful perspective on life.
After building a successful career in law, Sonaal chose to follow his deeper calling — yoga. He moved to Rishikesh to complete his first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, then furthered his education in the South of India with an additional 350-hour training at the Art of Living Ashram. His dedication to authentic yogic learning led him to study Sanskrit, Traditional Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Shatkarmas, Pranayama, Mantras, Mudras, and Philosophy extensively.
Sonaal further strengthened his expertise through advanced training at the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (certified by the Ministry of AYUSH), where he became a YCB Level 2 teacher under the guidance of Bal Mukund Ji, one of the foremost disciples of Dhirendra Brahmachari. He later completed his Master’s in the Science of Yoga, gaining a deeper scientific and therapeutic understanding of yogic practices, and expanded his knowledge through Iyengar Yoga to refine precision, alignment, and depth in teaching.
His classes are a unique blend of structure, discipline, humor, and wisdom. Known for his light-hearted nature and constant sense of humor, Sonaal makes even the deepest philosophical teachings engaging and relatable. Through stories from Indian mythology, cultural wisdom, and modern-day realities, he creates a learning environment that is both inspiring and transformative.
Sonaal teaches with the belief that yoga is not merely a physical practice, but a path of self-awareness and service. His expertise spans Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Shatkarma, Pranayama, Meditation, Philosophy, and Yoga Therapy, allowing him to offer a truly holistic experience. His approach challenges students physically while guiding them mentally and emotionally toward balance, discipline, and self-understanding.
His mission is to help students understand both their bodies and minds, empowering them with ancient wisdom, and keeping their hearts light. Whether through dynamic physical practice, deep philosophical insight, or yoga therapy, Sonaal’s classes leave students feeling stronger, clearer, energized, and inspired.
